Hassan Nasrallah suggests that invading northern Israel remains a potential response if Lebanon faces a serious conflict.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah issued a strong warning to Israel, threatening an unrestrained war without limits if Israel initiates a major offensive against Lebanon. Nasrallah's remarks on Wednesday come amidst heightened tensions on the Lebanon-Israel border, with Israeli officials emphasizing readiness for a full-scale conflict with Hezbollah.
Nasrallah dismissed Israeli threats and media warnings of war, stating they do not intimidate Hezbollah. He emphasized that Israel, not Hezbollah, should be fearful. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz previously warned of a serious conflict with Hezbollah after the group released drone footage showing Israeli infrastructure and military sites.
Nasrallah highlighted Hezbollah's military capabilities, including new weapons and locally manufactured drones, underscoring the group's deterrence against Israel. He also hinted at the possibility of Hezbollah ground forces entering northern Israel in any future war imposed on Lebanon.
Additionally, Nasrallah warned Cyprus about Israeli military activities on the island, suggesting Israeli plans to use Cypriot airports and bases in a conflict with Lebanon. He stated that Hezbollah would consider Cyprus as part of any conflict involving Israel's military infrastructure.
Nasrallah also threatened a naval front against Israel in the Mediterranean and reaffirmed Hezbollah's commitment to attacking Israeli targets until the Israeli assault on Gaza ends.
