Russia begins shipping coal to India via North-South transport corridor
As a strategic measure on the Turkmenistan-Iranian border, the gauge for coal transport was changed to Iranian Railways' wagon width of 1,435 mm, a deviation from the Russian standard of 1,520 mm.
