Hezbollah chief Nasrallah asserts that the Lebanon front is exerting pressure on Israel.

Hassan Nasrallah declares that the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel will play a crucial role in shaping the destiny of Lebanon and the broader region.

Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has emphasized the significance of the ongoing battle between his group and Israel, stating that it will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the region. In a speech delivered via videolink on Friday, Nasrallah highlighted that the Israeli military's operations in Gaza are being countered by Hezbollah's attacks from Lebanon, thereby exerting pressure on Israel.

Nasrallah underscored the broader implications of this conflict, stating that it not only concerns Palestine but also holds implications for Lebanon's future, including its water and oil resources. He characterized the Lebanon front as integral to the strategic battle determining the fate of Palestine, Lebanon, and the entire region.

The history of Israeli occupation in southern Lebanon until 2000 has fueled concerns that Israel seeks to control Lebanon's water-rich southern regions. Nasrallah reiterated Hezbollah's commitment to continue its operations against Israel, regardless of narrow political calculations.

Hezbollah has intensified its targeting of Israeli troops along the border following the outbreak of the Gaza war. In response, Israel has conducted regular bombings of villages in southern Lebanon, resulting in escalating violence and forcing thousands of Israelis to flee from the north of the country.

Nasrallah's remarks came after Israel's Defense Minister Yaov Gallant warned of consequences for Lebanon due to Hezbollah's actions, claiming to have killed 300 of the group's fighters. However, Nasrallah downplayed the threat, affirming Hezbollah's presence at the border.

Israeli leaders have repeatedly emphasized the need to remove Hezbollah from Israel's northern border, even suggesting a major assault if necessary. Nasrallah warned against such an offensive, stating that Hezbollah possesses military "surprises" in case of an all-out war.

In light of recent developments, including Israel's acceptance of a proposal for an enduring ceasefire in Gaza, Nasrallah's statements underscore the complex dynamics and ongoing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah.
