Hezbollah has released video footage captured by its surveillance aircraft, showing strategic locations in northern parts of the occupied 1948 territories, including sea and air ports in Haifa.
Hezbollah has released a nine-minute and 31-second-long video footage captured by its surveillance aircraft, which includes scenes of residential and military sites in and around Haifa, including port facilities. The group promoted the distribution of this footage, including on its Telegram channel, urging viewers to "watch and analyze important scenes," and referencing a cryptic message about the "hoopoe had brought back."
The decision to broadcast this footage appears to be targeted at an Israeli audience, highlighting the group's drone capabilities and the challenges they pose to the Israeli military. As of now, there has been no response from Israeli political or military authorities regarding Hezbollah’s actions.
On the same day, Hezbollah announced a large-scale airstrike on a military site in Israeli-occupied territories. The attack targeted an artillery position belonging to the Israeli military's 411th Battalion in the Neve Ziv settlement, resulting in casualties among Israeli forces. Hezbollah described this strike as retaliation for the assassination of its field commander, Muhammad Mustafa Ayoub, in an Israeli drone strike near the village of Selaa in the Tyre district.
Earlier, Hezbollah fighters also conducted a drone attack on an Israeli Merkava tank inside the Hadab Yarin site, claiming a direct hit. These actions are part of Hezbollah's ongoing response to Israeli aggression against Lebanon and in solidarity with Palestinians.
Hezbollah has a history of resistance against Israeli incursions, notably during the wars in 2000 and 2006, which saw strong Hezbollah opposition resulting in Israeli retreats from Lebanese territories.
