He said that Canada doesn't always give us proof in some situations, and the police there don't work with us either.
Jaishankar said India will wait for the Canadian police to tell them more about the people who were arrested. He also mentioned that the suspects seem to be people from India who may be part of a gang.
He said we need to wait for the police to give us more information. One thing we're worried about is that the police have let organized crime groups from India, especially from Punjab, do illegal things in Canada.
Three young people from India were arrested in Edmonton for seriously hurting and planning to hurt someone. They are accused of being involved in the murder of a person last June. The police think there may be more people involved in the crime too.
At an event in Toronto, Trudeau talked to Sikhs and said he knows many of them are feeling worried and scared. He told them to trust the justice system.
He said we should stay calm and stay strong in our beliefs in democracy and our system of justice.

Najjar wanted to create a new country called Khalistan for Sikhs in India. Many people were hurt or killed during the fight for this new country in the 1980s, but the Indian government stopped it. Some Sikhs in Canada still support the idea of Khalistan.
India has told Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom many times that some Sikhs want to split from India again.
In November, the US government accused a person from India who lives in the Czech Republic of trying to plan a murder in the United States.
A newspaper found that some Indian spies were part of a secret plan, but the Indian government says it's not true.
