The Islamic Republic of Iran Radio (IRIB) expressed condolences over the death of the mother of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
In separate messages, IRIB Director-General Peyman Jeberi and Deputy Director of the state-run World service ahmad Norouzi prayed for God's mercy on Nasrallah's mother, Mahdiyya Safi al-Din.
They begged God to grant hezbollah leadership patience following her mother's death.
Nasrallah's mother, fondly known as Sayeda Umm Hassan, died on Saturday after a period of illness. She was buried in the southern outskirts of Beirut after a funeral attended by large crowds and senior Lebanese officials. Earlier, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei expressed condolences over the death of Nasrallah's mother.
