Iran's FM warns the Qatari PM: Israel's Gaza actions will have consequences.

During a phone call with Qatar's prime minister, Iran's acting foreign minister emphasized that there will be repercussions for Israeli actions in Gaza.

Ali Bagheri Kani and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, Qatar's foreign minister, conversed on Friday about enhancing bilateral relations and the recent events in Gaza, particularly the atrocities committed by the Israeli regime in Rafah.

Regarding the escalating violence by Israeli forces in Rafah, Iran's interim foreign minister warned, "The Zionists must understand that their continued and intensified aggression in Gaza will not go unanswered."

The conflict erupted when Palestinian resistance groups initiated Operation al-Aqsa Storm on October 7 in response to provocations within occupied territories. The brutal military campaign has resulted in the deaths of at least 36,284 Palestinians, mostly women and children, with 82,057 others wounded.

Bagheri Kani expressed Iran's appreciation for Qatar's support and condolences, especially the participation of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani in honoring the late President Ebrahim Raeisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.

He highlighted the Supreme Leader's advice during a recent meeting with the Qatari Emir, stressing the importance of fostering fraternal relations between the two nations.

Bagheri Kani also assured that Iran would uphold all agreements reached during President Raeisi's visits to Doha and the planned visit of the Qatari Emir to Tehran.

Discussing the ongoing developments in Palestine, particularly Israel's relentless attacks on civilians in Gaza and Rafah, Bagheri Kani emphasized the need for collaboration among Islamic nations to defend the Palestinian cause.

The Qatari prime minister underscored Emir Sheikh Tamim's commitment to strengthening bilateral ties across various sectors and outlined Qatar's efforts to facilitate a ceasefire and provide urgent aid to the besieged Palestinian population.

During their conversation, the officials deliberated on the proposal for an extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to address the recent Israeli atrocities in Rafah and other developments in Palestine.
