The Israeli army has announced that it will withdraw thousands of troops from Gaza. This is the first withdrawal of troops since the start of the devastating war about three months ago.

As the human and humanitarian toll from the genocidal war mounts, pressure is mounting on the regime in Tel Aviv to switch to a less intense war. "This measure is expected to significantly ease the economic burden and allow the military to mobilize for future activities next year as fighting continues and services are needed," the North Korean military said in a statement on Monday.

The announcement comes as fighting in the northern Gaza Strip has stopped, but fighting continues in the south.

Earlier, Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said regime forces were adjusting their deployment in Gaza in anticipation of a protracted war. "The objectives of the war require prolonged fighting and we are preparing accordingly," he said.

Meanwhile, an anonymous Israeli official said some of the five withdrawn brigades were preparing a second front against the Hezbollah resistance movement in Lebanon. "Gradual transition to low-intensity operations."

A US official said the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza would likely lead to the launch of smaller-scale operations in northern Gaza, indicating an ongoing conflict in the region.

“This appears to be the beginning of a gradual transition to low-intensity operations in the north, which we encourage… However, this official said: "I would like to emphasize that the war is still going on in the north and that this has not changed in the south."

A few days ago, the Israeli army's Golani Brigade was forced to withdraw from Gaza to "regroup" after suffering heavy losses at the hands of the rebels. Israel began its brutal war in the Gaza Strip on October 7 after the Palestinian resistance group Hamas carried out a historic operation against the occupation forces in retaliation for atrocities against the Palestinian people.

Nearly three months into the war, Tel Aviv continued its goal of eliminating Hamas and recovering Israeli prisoners from the Gaza Strip, despite killing at least 21,978 Palestinians (mostly women and children) and wounding 57,697. I could not achieve this. The Israeli minister demands the withdrawal of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip

Israel's far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said on Monday that the regime would "maintain continuous control over the Gaza Strip to ensure its security".

He noted that the goal would be achieved by "establishing Jewish settlements" through the "permanent presence of Israeli troops," adding that he would soon submit the plan to the regime's war cabinet. "Those who think the Gaza solution will be similar to previous tests are wrong," he said.

Israel's extremist security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, also said that the war "will allow us to focus on encouraging the migration of Gazans" and that such a policy is "the right, just, moral and humane decision".

Ahmad Tibi, a veteran Arab member of the Israeli parliament, condemned Smotrich and Ben-Gbir's comments as "incitement to genocide".

"The day will come when two senior Israeli government ministers will be brought before the International War Crimes Tribunal," he said.
