Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei addressed a large crowd at the mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, in southern Tehran on Monday, marking the 35th anniversary of the late Imam's passing.
Ayatollah Khamenei stated that Operation Al-Aqsa Storm against Israel was timely and has set the Zionist regime on a path towards its destruction.
During Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, the Palestinians cornered the enemy, leaving it with no escape, he noted.
The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas initiated Operation Al-Aqsa Storm on October 7, 2023, launching large-scale air, land, and sea strikes deep into the territories occupied by the Israeli regime.
The operation was in response to the repeated desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied al-Quds and intensified Israeli atrocities against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
Ayatollah Khamenei emphasized Imam Khomeini's belief in Palestinians reclaiming their rights and forcing the Israeli regime to retreat. He highlighted that everything Imam Khomeini predicted about the Palestine issue has come true.
The Leader warned of a comprehensive plan by the US, global Zionism, and certain regional states to alter relations and equations in the region. However, Operation Al-Aqsa Storm thwarted their schemes.
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that the recent events in Palestine have shattered any hopes of reviving this plot.
He also referred to the martyrdom of former Iranian President Ebrahim Raeisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, and six others in a helicopter crash, describing them as "martyrs of service." Despite this loss, Iran has maintained its tranquility and security.
