A high-ranking Hezbollah official cautions that if Israel escalates the conflict against Lebanon, it will confront devastation and ruin.
Sheikh Naim Qassem, Hezbollah's deputy leader, stated on Tuesday that Hezbollah isn't seeking to escalate conflict with Israel but remains prepared for any war imposed upon them.
Sheikh Qassem affirmed that Hezbollah is "prepared for battle and will not permit Israel to claim any victories," cautioning that Israel's expansion of hostilities would result in "devastation and destruction" in occupied territories.
"If Israel seeks an all-out war, we are prepared," he emphasized.
These remarks followed Hezbollah's consecutive drone launches against an Israeli military base. The group has undertaken multiple operations in support of Palestinians in Gaza, prompting Israel to evacuate civilians near the Lebanese border.
Israeli retaliatory attacks in southern Lebanon have caused civilian casualties, including Hezbollah members. Meanwhile, Hezbollah's strikes on Israeli military targets have inflicted significant losses on the Israeli army.
Iran's Acting Foreign Minister, Ali Bagheri Kani, lauded Hezbollah as a key force for peace and stability in the region.
The conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza has resulted in significant Palestinian casualties, with Israel initiating a ground offensive in Rafah.
