The interim president affirmed that Iran’s pro-resistance strategy will persist unchanged even after Raisi's martyrdom.

Interim President Mohammad Mokhber announced that Iran's strategy in support of resistance groups, particularly the Palestinian ones, will remain unchanged following the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi .

Mokhber made these remarks on Saturday during a phone conversation with Ziad al-Nakhalah, the Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement.

He stated that President Raeisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who perished in a helicopter crash last week, were deeply committed to supporting the resistance and the Palestinians' inalienable rights.

“The fundamental strategy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in supporting the Resistance Front, particularly the Palestinian resistance groups, will not change with the change of individuals,” Mokhber asserted.

He also emphasized that resistance remains the most effective method to counter Israeli crimes and aggression.

Raeisi, Amir-Abdollahian, and six others died on May 19 when their helicopter crashed in foggy conditions in the mountains near the northwestern border with Azerbaijan. The charred wreckage was found the following day.

Both had been vocal defenders of Palestinian rights in regional and international forums and had praised their resilience against Israeli occupation.

“Martyr Raeisi and Martyr Amir-Abdollahian were steadfast champions in defending the interests of the Iranian nation and supporting the resistance,” he added.
