Civilian Casualties Amid Military Operations

In a significant escalation of military operations, Israeli air and ground attacks have resulted in the deaths of dozens of Palestinians across Gaza. The Gaza Health Ministry reported on Wednesday that at least 51 individuals lost their lives in the past 24 hours alone, as Israel intensified its offensive in the region.  Targeted Strikes on Civilian Locations

Israeli fighter jets conducted overnight strikes in Gaza City, targeting locations that included the Muscat School in the Tuffah neighborhood and the Al-Amal Orphanage in western Gaza City. Reports indicate that at least nine displaced individuals seeking refuge at these sites were killed during the attacks, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa. The Israeli military has claimed that these institutions were being utilized by Hamas as "command and control complexes" for planning operations, a justification that has been met with skepticism given the civilian nature of these facilities.

In addition to the strikes on schools and orphanages, the Israeli military announced an attack on the Brig High School in central Gaza. However, details regarding casualties from this specific strike were not immediately available at the time of reporting.

 Rising Death Toll in Khan Younis

The situation in southern Gaza has also deteriorated, with airstrikes coinciding with the deployment of Israeli tanks in three neighborhoods of Khan Younis. Reports from the city’s European Hospital indicate that at least 32 people were killed, with many more injured. Among the deceased were seven women and twelve children, some as young as 22 months old. Dr. Saleh al-Hams, head of the nursing department at the hospital, noted that the influx of casualties began around 3 AM (0:00 GMT) and expressed concern that the death toll could continue to rise as the situation unfolds.

 Renewed Military Operations and Regional Tensions

The resurgence of Israeli military operations in Gaza coincides with an increase in aggressive raids and arrests in the occupied West Bank. This renewed violence has drawn international attention, particularly as the world focuses on Israel's military actions in Lebanon.
