Reporting from London, Voice of Urdu's Camille Nedelec said both of Reform's latest donors believe they are making British politics fairer. "One of the reasons that Ben Delo gave for this huge record-breaking donation was to level the political playing field," Nedelec said.

Nedelec added that Harborne compared Reform UK to a startup in need of a boost, noting that unlike mainstream political parties, it does not benefit from an established infrastructure of financial support and recurring donations. Reform has historically received very few donations compared to the mainstream parties, according to the reporting.

The donations coincide with ongoing questions surrounding the party's finances, following the Metropolitan Police's confirmation of a criminal investigation into whether Reform accepted illegal foreign donations.
