Attack Details and Immediate Response
The suicide bomber was intercepted by police at the entrance of the Kabal police station before detonating his explosives. Swat Deputy Inspector General of Police Fida Hussain confirmed at least 22 people were wounded, with some victims in critical condition.
Security forces cordoned off the area and launched an investigation and a search operation. The wounded were transported to a hospital in the nearby city of Saidu Sharif for treatment. Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the attack and extended condolences to the families of those killed, along with prayers for the recovery of the injured.
